The Adventure...week 8

Well! I am finally feeling a return to more normal health and vitality. That was a long ordeal being sick with an infection in my joints that seems to be a puzzle to the doctors. We are blessed that God has allowed healing. I'm looking forward to springtime and warmer temps.

Here's some foods I was eating. I am sorry, I didn't photograph all my meals like I hoped to but here's a sampling of things for you to see.

taco salad we had on a double date
at our house with friiends

strawberry pie from a double date
meal I made and we shared with
friends

double date table set up. It was fun!
vegetable soup

a yummy black bean burger
I had on a day when we were out

Pasta salad on a spring-like day.
I took out the pepperoni for myself

green tropical smoothie

hashbrowns and green beans
with a cuke/tomato salad

the makings of scrambled tofu
for burritos
the scrambled tofu burrito
with salsa

chocolate cookies...and almond milk

all vegan...a beautiful meal shared with a friend at Core Life Eatery, a new restaurant near me. I had a wonderful meal:
tomato basil soup, and ancient grains bowl with tofu cubes, and beet lemonade. So good!

a baked tater with lentil walnut 'meat' (delish!), guacamole
and freshly made salsa

hashbrowns, green beans and
brussel sprouts

shredded potatoes, lightly fried and served with ketchup

There were raw foods consumed. They are not pictured because I forgot to take their picture.

I end with some nutritional inspiration for you:

Rainy Tuesday Reminder from Dr. Joel Fuhrman #lostbumblebee:

Do you know why?
Because raw food has living enzymes in it that
your body uses to grow healthy cells to fight
disease.
At least that is my explanation in 'laymans' terms.
Dr. Fuhrman would give you a much more
detailed and in-depth explanation.

I have been blessed with good cooks and young ladies who are running my household for me
while I've been sick and I'm trusting the Lord Jesus to heal me in His time.

Eat your plants, people!
Someone commented to me this week about meat and I want to share here
that I really do not have a problem with people eating small portions of
humanely raised meat. I think we Americans overdose on animal products
but please do not misunderstand me. I push plants because they are
what feed your cells and we should be majoring on them.

Here is a visual that I felt led to share in this post as well.
Kind of an eye opener, when you think about it:
